Have your home cooked breakfast, put on your boots and light rucksack and you are off on a scenic walk to your next night’s rest. And as you are in the exclusive company of your group, you can chose the pace and decide where to stop. Our walks are not way-marked (although some will inevitably use sections of the many marked trails in the area) but our written route descriptions will take you from the door of one night’s accommodation to your next bed, mostly without the use of a map. We do provide a map - both to help on the more difficult walks and also to help you identify local features.
All of the walks are designed for people with some walking experience, although the walks do differ in length and difficulty. “Wye Wye Wye” is probably our easiest walk and it is also one of the most scenic. The Wellington and Little John walks are a bit more serious, here the landscape is a bit wilder and the weather can be a bit more changeable.
To help you chose which walk is for you we give a description of the length, the amount of ascent and the type of terrain for each walk. If you need more information just phone us and we will advise on which walk would suit your group. Some of our walks could be made easier by adding an extra night or two. Similarly we can join walks together to make longer walks.
As each walk is individually arranged for your group you can start & finish on any day of the week in any month of the year, and if you want something particular then with a bit of time we could arrange a special walk just for you.
To choose & book your walk just click on the links in the bar to the left and browse through the descriptions. Then either give us call or fill in our online enquiry form. (link).
